Sony Xperia 5 2021 News, Price, Release Date, Full Specs

With the impending release of the Sony Xperia 5 and a plethora of other fine smartphones already available for purchase, is the Sony Xperia 5 worth a serious look in 2021? If you were unfortunate to miss out on the first wave of the smartphone landscape (and if you’re not one of the lucky ones, you just might be), you’ll have a little more time to ponder this question. In the meantime, there are a lot of phones on the market right now that are packing all the features that we’ve come to expect from a” smartphone”. So when the Sony Xperia 5 was announced, what should we really make of it? Is it going to be a dud? Or a home run?

To start with, let’s start with what the Sony Xperia 5 won’t be carrying – and I’m not just referring to its hardware. The Sony Xperia 5 will not be packing any sort of external memory like the iPhone, nor will it be packing any sort of internal memory like the Android phones. So why the big switch? Why does it look like the Sony Xperia 5 is going to be an iPhone instead? It’s simple; the Sony Xperia 5 has been designed to be more like a tablet, with the home button acting as the start button on tablets, and the fingerprint scanner on the phone acting more like a touch screen.

On the surface, this sounds like a great idea… but with a handset this size, how can it truly feel like a tablet? With the Sony Xperia 5, we’re looking at a phone that’s only a few inches thick, but this isn’t a mobile that’s much thicker than the average smartphone (such as the iPhone). In fact, the thickness of the Sony Xperia 5 doesn’t change the fact that it’s going to be an awkward piece of plastic, which unfortunately makes it harder to get a decent grip on.

We’d expected the Sony Xperia 5 to have a fingerprint scanner, but unfortunately it’s not there. This means that you’re going to need to use the Sony Xperia 5’s double finger feature to take care of your unlock code. Fortunately, we’ve been able to find some codes on various Sony websites, but unfortunately these have all been disabled for some unknown reason (presumably because some hackers found a way of exploiting them). This means that we can’t use the Sony Xperia 5 until these problems are sorted out, which could mean that the device runs on the older Gingerbread operating system.

We’re also not able to say that the Sony Xperia 5 is any more advanced than any of the other new flagship smartphones. Like the iPhone, it uses the Apple A4 processor, but it’s got no physical keyboard. It’s got a micro-SD slot for storing additional storage, but unfortunately this isn’t accessible via a USB-C connector. Because the Sony Xperia 5 doesn’t have a USB port, it’s limited to just using its micro-USB data cable to power it up. The result is that the phone takes a little longer to charge than devices in its class, even though it has a fast charge speed. So it will probably be a fair amount of time before you’ll want to plug the phone into a USB-C cord to use it.

The Sony Xperia 5 is a nice phone, but like all of the new android phones it hasn’t got the reputation of having a unique design that sets it apart from the competition. If you’re thinking about buying one of the new android phones, make sure you do your homework and find out exactly what sets it apart from the existing phones. Only then can you decide if it’s worth paying the extra money. The Sony Xperia 5 has a great design, but don’t let its looks fool you – it’s still got all of the features that make it unique and sets it far apart from the competition. It’s fast, it’s colourful, and it has all the modern connectivity features that people expect from an android phone, and that makes it a very good phone for the price.
